Doyal Fred Alderidge "Fat Boy" 76, of Odessa passed away October 11, 2016 in Odessa, Texas. He was born February 8, 1940 to Percy and Irene Alderidge in White Bluff, Tennessee in their home. He loved the fall as well as sitting on the porch watching the birds and squirrels. He loved his family, long talks, drinking coffee, talking about drilling rigs, the oil field, and growing up in Tennessee, but his heart was always in Texas. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam era.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby and Butch Alderidge, sister, Winkie, Bootsie, and Willie May, sons, Arlon Alderidge, Billy Alderidge, and CD Alderidge, grandson David Alderidge and great grandsons T.J. Davidson and David Davidson.

He is survived by his son, David Foster Alderidge and companion Linda of Odessa, daughter, Shauna and husband Michael Moore of Odessa, grandchildren, Tiffany Davidson, Tosha Alderidge, Mikie Moore, Billy Moore and fiancé Kailey Ziglar and Bobby Moore all of Odessa, brothers Charles Alderidge and Lynn Alderidge of Old Hickory, TN, sisters, Beaver and Joyce of Old Hickory, TN, nine great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
PaPa's special helpers: Harley Nicole Davidson, Tori Maken Dean, Emma Leigh Davidson
and Ringo Starr his beloved grand dog who kept up with his PaPa.

Memorial service will be 10am Monday, October 17, 2016 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Stacey Brown officiating.
